Exposing the Heart of God – Part 1

Let us delve into the first part of the series –‘Exposing the Heart of God’

  • – My People Get Ready

Amos 9:11- 12 (Emphasis on v-11-12) read up to v15 ( Amos 9: 11-15)

11 “On that day I will raise up

The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,

And repair its damages;

I will raise up its ruins,

And rebuild it as in the days of old;

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom,

And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”

Says the Lord who does this thing.

13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,

“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;

The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,

And all the hills shall flow with it.

14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;

They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;

They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;

They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

15 I will plant them in their land,

And no longer shall they be pulled up

From the land I have given them,”

Says the Lord your God.

  • God desires now in these last days to rebuild His people
  • Rebuild the church out of its ruins of the present age
  • He calls upon the Faithful
  • God desires to COMMUNE with man like in the days of old- He will establish the status quo like in the times of Adam and Moses and so on.
  • Now is the time for obedience ( not complacency) God hates complacency  – Ref Revelation 3: 14-20 ( God says you are neither hot nor cold)  / Interesting scripture is Zephaniah 1:12 – God punishes complacency  [ “….At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will punish the men who are complacent, those who say in their hearts, ‘The LORD will not do good, nor will he do ill..”]
  • EL NARA : Some days back I was told ( during my personal prayer) that the Lord is El Nara. It was explained that Nara means fire in Arabic and El is God in Hebrew. Indeed The Lord is a “All-consuming fire” – He is fire. Moses encountered the Lord in the burning bush. Let us refer to Deuteronomy 4: 23-25 and Hebrews 12:29

Hebrews 12:28-29 – “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

  • [Deut 4:23-24 Be careful not to forget the covenant of the LORD your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything the LORD your God has forbidden. For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.”
  • Do you know Satan contested for the body of Moses? Jude 1 :9 ( Moses murdered an Egyptian , Moses struck the rock, Moses broke the tablets ) may be righteous indignation but that led to him be accused by the accuser.( Rev 12:10 – “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers 1 has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.”

No one knows how Moses was buried ( Scriptures say that the Lord God Himself buried the body of Moses) Deut 30:4-7

People in the times of Moses worshipped the bronze serpent which was a symbol but not an idol for worship. So this is people’s mentality. Perversion creeps in easily. That is the reason we must stay on guard and keep our mind alert.

Lets read: Numbers 21:8-9 -Serpent

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.” And Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.”

Then  in 2 Kings 18:4- Destruction of bronze serpent

“He (King Hezekiah) removed the high places and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the Asherah. He also broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until those days the sons of Israel burned incense to it; and it was called Nehushtan”

There was this probability that as the people knew that Moses talked face to face God, and so probably they would have never come to terms with his death. By a stretch of imagination, probably they would have revered his body as well like embalming the body, retaining the body, then shifting it from one place to another and so on. So God who knows the hearts of men must have decided to better take the body off the hands of the Israelites.

-If we obey God, we will experience more and more of Him. Eventually, he consumes us. His love is faithful . Not like your family or friends or the world offers. He is above and beyond all understanding. He intoxicates us with His presence and pours His love into our hearts because as the scripture says He loved us first.

  • Also Identify your calling / Serve your God in the best way possible. Do not compare your calling with another. I have observed and sensed (how? I do not know..without my knowledge sometimes some hearts are exposed to me like movie in a yellow or a dark background. It is not for me to judge but only to steer clear or sometimes there is a command to be followed. But Im not to judge or speak evil of the person or condemn because we all have sinned in some form or the other and we all have fallen short of the glory of God and so we needed and still need Christ.) that some leaders compare themselves with may be prominent pastors or evangelists or some minister of God and once they move in a particular realm of the Spirit they feel that they are now wearing the shoes of that prominent man or woman of God and begin to criticise that man or woman of God when that particular man or woman of God knowingly unknowingly commits something that may be birthed out of his/her human thinking.  Remember in an army there are soldiers, generals, commanders etc , so we need the revelation of what role God has designed us for. All roles are important in a strategic war front. On the other hand jealousy  and fear must be exterminated as a poison from the body of Christ. We need to understand that God’s calling is unique , all are called but few are chosen. Remember Elijah was Elijah and even though Elisha got double portion anointing Elijah was Elijah. So when there is an impartation of the Spirit, that does not empty the imparter but the anointing is multiplied. Impartation is for the burgeoning growth of the body of Christ. Elijah was taken up in a chariot. Elijah was there in the tent of transfiguration and not Elisha. So calling of the leaders in the body of Christ by whatever office is a sacred calling.

        Example

  • {If you look around at different Christian ministries in the world, like Benny Hinn , Joel Osteen, Kathryn Kulhman, Smith Wigglesworth, DGS Dhinakaran , Pastor Micheal Fernandes-Mumbai etc , all of them have unique ministries. A closer look into their service , modus operandi, it is unique, taught by the Lord God Himself. So therefore there is a special calling and there is a general calling. God knows how much each one can handle.  Imitators will imitate and frizzle out. But God’s office cannot be taken away and it cannot be fruitfully imitated. That’s why Gamaliel said (ofcourse context is a little different ) “ … But if it is from God you will find yourself fighting against God.”[ Acts 5 : 38-39 –“And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it—lest you even be found to fight against God.”]}

I know my calling. Do you? think about this? I know where I will be 10 years hence in ministry. But for now, what one can do is only “OBEY”. Keep calm and follow the principles God has laid in your lives and grow quietly where you are planted; for it is all about HIM and it has never been about you. You are His handmaid/handiwork. Imagine a dish that you cooked in the kitchen example: turkey roast/pot roast from the oven screaming hey why did you prepare me with Indian spices why didn’t you marinate me with rosemary?

Sometimes when I see Christians behaving just like the world it turns me off, and also it makes me angry and then I calm myself and say to myself -this is not my battle, I’m not called to correct XYZ, the Master knows it all.

  • Be calm. You are of the Lord. Know to whom you belong. The Master knows it all. Quit imitating the world that is constantly concerned about growth graphs and competition. Those who are faithful in small matters will be put in charge of large ones.

God is willing to consume you and fill you with Himself. He is El Nara. Will you allow Him today?

-EL YAHUD – ‘Yahud’ means ‘Praise’. Your aware that ‘Yahudi’in Hebrew means a Jew. The Lord said to me that Iam El Yahud. I was wondering what it meant and looked it up and found out that it is a Hebrew word and it meant a ‘Jew’. While I was contemplating feeling left out that oh I’m not a Jew, the Holy Spirit threw some more light into the matter and clarified that Yahud means ‘Praise’. He is the God of the People who praise Him.  Yahud means ‘People who praise the Lord.’ El Yahud means God of my praise

Refer Zechariah 8:23

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.”

Observe the last sentence which says , yes people will grab you and ask you, please let us know who is your God.

EL EHYEH ASHER EHYEH

He said He is Ehyeh , which means “Iam” . God is… He is the great Iam . El Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh means God who is Iam that Iam. He was , He is and He will always be.

Exodus 3:14 – God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you. ‘”

Revelations 1:8  I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

You cannot worship God with emotions. Please!!! God cannot be made a victim of your emotions. Today I love Him and the next moment I don’t. Emotions rise and fall but God ‘is’. Today one is in a good mood so today extra praise. Tomorrow I’m not in a good mood so no praise. I realised and was taught in my personal reflection that the kingdom of heaven is not emotions. Things are organised in heaven. Angels worship in truth. The scripture says we must worship in spirit and in truth.

When we say we love Him let us self-introspect and check the depth of our love. Jesus said “if you love me you will obey my commandments” the scripture also says be not only hearers but doers of the word in the book of James. God loves you and me not emotionally but in Truth. Imagine if we were subject to only His emotions. Teachers of English grammar ay argue with me that love is a emotion, anger is a emotion. But what we are talking of being spirit beings worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

EL NEPHESH ET RUAH TANAKH

I have certainly not learned Hebrew however I was told that He is my EL Nephesh which means God of my soul. When I checked it, I realized that it is an existing word in the Hebrew language. So our God is God of our soul. El Nephesh Et Ruah Tanakh means God of my soul the Holy Spirit.

God desires that we surrender our soul (heart, mind, will, emotions) to Him and let it /actions be driven by the Holy Spirit.

In these last days, the Lord will take control of His people and He will prove that He is Lord over us all. Those who are complacent and want to test and wait and see will be left behind. Beware let it not be too late just as in the times of Noah. When Noah was building the ark surely people thought of him as an imbecile and great scholars must have mocked at him saying that oh God has spoke to  this Noah and not to us, probably so. Some documentaries say Noah was a farmer. Imagine.

So let us pay heed and let us continue to be faithful to our one true God Yahshua, It is Him , the Iam , Yahashua as he said He ‘is’; the Saviour. Let us grow in Him, worship Him in spirit and in truth and gather those who are scattered into His sheepfold.

Psalm 62:1  “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”

Psalm 103:1-22 – Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name

  • Conclusion

On a humorous note, I have learned the scriptures in the reverse gear. Why do I say that? As a teenager I had certain encounters, dreams, and visions and as years passed by when I began to read the scriptures diligently I found those experiences connected with the scriptures, and that made those scriptures embedded in my spirit. I certainly grew up as a normal child and in school I was in love with music I loved the Swedish pop band  Ace of Base, bands like Backstreet boys, Boyzone,  and reggae was one of my favorite music genres (even today I like reggae but I don’t hear secular songs). But amidst those things I was led into strange experiences and long story short the Lord cut me off what all distractions.

The Lord is building His army today….Are you enrolled? [Not have you enrolled? If your reading this series that means you probably count yourself in , but are you really? The Lord is gathering His sheep …Those who scatter the sheep will be subject to greater condemnation and those who do help gather are abhorred as well. In Matthew 12:30, Jesus says explicitly: “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” That is: Jesus says, “You cannot be neutral with regard to me.”
